Matthew Barr is Head of Market Development, Australasia for MasterCard Worldwide. Based in Sydney, he is responsible for the development of emerging payment services, including both mobile and e-commerce payments, in the Australasian markets. He was recruited to this position in April 2011.
Prior to joining MasterCard, Matthew was an executive at Telstra, where he was responsible for core mobile services product development, gaining first-hand experience in the challenges presented by mobile platforms and the dramatic growth of innovative data services. Other Telstra experience included leading the consumer channel’s operations team and appreciating the realities of delivering customer service operational excellence.
Matthew has also worked in retail banking, new media and management consulting in a broad career that has provided invaluable experience in the definition and delivery of technology and service based innovation.
Matthew holds an Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from Canterbury University, New Zealand, and, as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and an MSC in Economics.

Peter Bourke was educated in Sydney and has an Economics degree with majors in Accounting and Computing. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts and The Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Peter serves on a number of Committees including The Chartered Accounts in Business Forum, as well as being Governing Body Co Chair for the CIO Executive Summit
Although the majority of his roles have been in Australia, Peter has worked overseas including long term secondments to both the US and Europe.
Peter is Director of Information Technology and has been with the company for five years. Prior to joining Westfield he was Managing Director, Asia Pacific, for an IT Services Company specialising in Voice Technology and before that a Partner in one of the Large Global CPA and Consulting firms. He had a number of roles including involvement with the Global management of the firm and the establishment of the Asia Pacific IT Consulting group.
Peter is responsible for all IT in Australia and New Zealand within Westfield and for influencing the Global Technology Strategy for the company.

Hugh S. Bradlow is Chief Technology Officer for Telstra and is responsible for investigating the future technologies that will impact Telstra's business.
Prior to joining Telstra in September 1995, Hugh was Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Wollongong in Australia and Professor of Electrical Engineering (Digital Systems) at the University of Cape Town.
Hugh Bradlow is a graduate in electrical engineering from the University of Cape Town in 1973 and received the D.Phil. degree for research in experimental nuclear physics from the University of Oxford. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, an Emeritus Professor of the University of Wollongong, a Professorial Fellow of the University of Melbourne, and a recipient of a Centenary Medal from the Commonwealth of Australia. He was elected as the joint 2009 Australian Telecommunications Ambassador of the Year. He was listed in the 2010 Global Telecom Business Power 100 rankings (at number 32) and was named by Smart Company as one of the 12 most influential people in Australian ICT.

Austin Bryan is the Director of Optus Digital Media division and is responsible for leading the provision of digital products, services and devices for Australian consumers and small business.
Previously, Austin held the position of Acting Consumer Marketing Director at Optus. He joined Optus in 2008 as the Director of Consumer Customer Care. During this time Austin's responsibilities spanned across the range of products and services in the consumer portfolio.
Austin has a strong background in leadership and management achievements with global 'best of breed' companies. His expertise are in growing revenues and profitability, revamping inefficient businesses, creating sustainable financial/operational models and building high performance business cultures and teams.
Prior to joining Optus, Austin held a variety of senior roles ranging from Director to CEO across the financial, telecommunications and news sectors. He has worked leading organisations, including Hutchison, News Ltd, PBL, American Express International and American Express Bank Ltd.
Austin holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, in addition to a range of Executive Education Programs from Columbia University and Harvard Business.

Adam Ferrier is a Consumer Psychologist and Founding Partner of Naked Communications. He graduated university with degrees in Commerce and Psychology and by a strange twist of fate began his career in forensic psychology. Adam worked in maximum security prisons, before making the natural move to marketing consultancy, working for Added Value. Here Adam switched his interest from understanding criminal behaviour to consumer behaviour. He completed his Clinical Psychology Thesis in 'Identifying the underlying constructs of cool people', and for a short while was a global cool hunter. Continuing the slide from the moral high-ground Adam joined ad agency, Saatchi & Saatchi, before starting Naked Communications Asia Pacific in 2004.
Naked has embedded psychological principles into its thinking and utilises a behavioural change model in all communications. Naked is one of Australia's most awarded agencies, regularly winning agency of the year titles across various disciplines. Valued clients include as Telstra, Sony, Coke, and Unilever.
Adam has regular slot on national radio ABC radio (Sunday Nights with James O'Loghlin) and is a panelist on The Gruen Transfer. He writes at The Australian, The Punch and Adnews, and blogs at www.theconsumerpsych.com. He is a much in demand speaker, talking on consumer behaviour, marketing and living in a branded world. Adam was West Australian State Under 12 Chess Champion, and inventor of 'The Analyst' a board game translated in 4 languages and selling well in the Benelux countries.

Iarla Flynn is Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs with Google for Australia and New Zealand. His focus is on preserving the benefits of the open Internet for Australians and he covers the full range of public policy issues including access, content regulation and privacy. He also has responsibility for representing Google in interactions with government and with industry groups. He joined Google in 2007 as European Public Policy Manager based at the Company's European HQ in Ireland. Prior to joining Google he spent 12 years in senior roles with government and industry in Ireland's telecommunications sector where he was a leading advocate for the benefits of competition and choice. He has a Commerce degree from University College Cork and a Masters degree in Economics from Trinity College Dublin.

Simon Hackett is the founder and CEO of Internode, and combines entrepreneurial energy with technical expertise in his leadership . Since 1991, Simon has built Internode into a nationally recognised Internet company that is renowned for its customer-friendly service.
After graduating from computer studies at the University of Adelaide in 1986, Simon was involved in the establishment of AARNet - the Australian Academic and Research Network - a national Internet Protocol-based network that connected universities throughout the country. Simon was also a co-founder of the Internet Society of Australia and founding president of the South Australian Internet Association.

Pippa Leary is the Director of Strategy and Market Insights for the Metro Division of Fairfax Media, publisher of The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review among other titles. She is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the division across print, online, mobile and other new platforms.
Prior to this role Pippa was the Managing Director of the Media Division at Fairfax Digital. In this role she was responsible growing revenue and audience usage of smh.com.au, theage.com.au, Brisbane Times, WA Today, Essential Baby, The Weather Company and The Vine. Her responsibilities included Sales, Product Development, Syndication, Strategy, and Marketing.
Prior to Fairfax, Pippa worked for NineMSN primarily as the Business Manager of the Lifestyle section, later becoming the Network Services Director covering E-Commerce and Communications services within NineMSN including Hotmail, Instant Messenger, Search and Community.
Preceding her Media career, Pippa was a freelance journalist; her work appearing in Not Only Black and White, Studio for Men, The Australian and 21*C. She has also lectured and tutored at both Sydney University and the University of New South Wales.
Pippa has an Honours Degree in History (First Class and Medal) from the University of Sydney.

Selina Lo is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Ruckus Wireless. With over 20 years of experience in the networking and communications industries, Selina is known for her ability to create new markets, innovate new technology and capitalise on emerging trends.

Under her leadership, Ruckus has been recognised by Gartner in 2011 as the fastest growing company within the top 5 worldwide WLAN companies. In 2010, the company was also named the market leader by DellOro Group within the carrier Wi-Fi market.
Prior to starting Ruckus Wireless, Selina built a number of successful computer networking startups. As VP of Marketing at Alteon WebSystems, she defined a completely new market for load-balancing Web switches. After taking the company public, she sold it to Nortel for $7.8 billion. Before Alteon, she co-founded Centillion Networks, which developed the first token ring Ethernet switch. She then sold the company to Bay Networks. Born in Hong Kong, Selina received her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Seán O'Halloran is the President and Managing Director of Alcatel-Lucent in Australia. Seán has been with the Alcatel Lucent since mid-2007 and was appointed as President and Managing-Director for Australia in late 2011. He is responsible for Alcatel-Lucent's Strategy and Company Operations across the Australian market.
Prior to taking on his current role, Seán was Executive-Director and Vice-President of the NBN Division. Seán also held the role of Vice-President, Enterprise for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
With over 20 years experience working in the technology and telecommunications industry, Seán has significant expertise in providing clear strategic direction, establishing high-performance teams and growing profitable revenues.

Originally appointed Managing Director of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for a five-year term from July 5, 2006, Mark Scott has recently accepted a second term extension for a further five years from July 2011. Under his leadership, the ABC has dramatically expanded its services and reach, with an annual budget approaching $1 billion.
Mark Scott was named Media Person of the Year in 2008 and made the Financial Review respected "Power" list in 2009. In 2009, he also garnered international attention with a series of agenda-setting speeches including the Latrobe University Annual Media Lecture, the A.N. Smith Memorial Lecture, the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association Lecture and Macquarie University's Bruce Allen Lecture.
Before joining the ABC, Mark served 12 years in a variety of editorial and executive positions with Fairfax Media, Editorial Director of the Fairfax newspaper and magazine division and Editor-in-Chief of Metropolitan, Regional and Community newspapers. Mark Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts, Diploma in Education, and Master of Arts from the University of Sydney and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Born in Melbourne and educated in Australia and the United States, Steve Wood combines a successful track record in business with a lifelong involvement in tennis.
As a top state player in the 1980s, he was a contemporary of Pat Cash and Wally Masur and represented Victoria at junior level before embarking on the professional ATP (Association of Tennis Professional) tour from 1985-87 prior to moving his career aspirations into business.
He was appointed in 2005 by Tennis Australia as its new Chief Executive Officer to take on the responsibilities for day-to-day administration of one of Australia's most successful sports.
Before joining Tennis Australia, he gained extensive business experience as the chief executive of information, communications and technology companies in Australia, across Asia-Pacific and around the world.
This included periods as Vice President Asia/Pacific first with SynOptics Communications Inc, then Bay Networks, Nortel Networks, and Alteon WebSystems, before taking up his post as President of Nortel for Australia and New Zealand in May 2001.
During this time, he helped make Nortel one of the leading players in Australia's telecommunications and data communications markets with one of the industry's most diverse customer bases.
As CEO of Tennis Australia, Steve has grown the company from a turnover of $80 million to in excess of $140 million, with reserves of $28 million and 190 staff.
Under his leadership, the 2010 Australian Open known as the Grand Slam of Asia Pacific and the biggest annual sporting event held in January attracted record crowds of 653,860 and was broadcast to more than 320 million people in 160 countries.
Steve's administration has overseen the change of surface for the Open to cushioned-acrylic and Tennis Australia is now rolling out a multi-million dollar court rebate scheme to help ensure the best possible facilities are available across the length and breadth of the country.
Tennis Australia provides leadership and direct financial support for the work of the Member State and Territory Associations and is committed to the development of the game worldwide especially in the Asia/Pacific region. Steve reports directly to the Tennis Australia Board. He is married with two children.
