The growing use of information and communications technologies (ICT) and the rollout of high-speed broadband will underpin a profound transformation in the State's economy over the next decade.
That's why the NSW Government is rolling out a $36 million Digital Economy Strategy to capitalise on technology-driven opportunities and to promote innovation across all areas of our economy.
As part of this strategy, the Australian Centre for Broadband Innovation (ACBI) has been established at Marsfield to deliver breakthrough broadband applications.
ACBI will bring together the research excellence of the CSIRO and NICTA together with industry partners and NSW Government support to create and deliver applications across four key areas: digital media and interactive broadcasting; telehealth and e-health technologies; infrastructure; and e-government.
